I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the Climate Systems Engineering initiative at The University of Chicago, hosted by Prof. Tiffany Shaw and Prof. Da Yang. My research focuses on the physical mechanisms that govern tropical climate variability and shape its predictability, with interests spanning Hadley circulation, ITCZ asymmetry, ENSO and monsoon predictability, seasonal superrotation, and wind–evaporation–SST feedback.
I was fortunate to be mentored by Prof. Shang-Ping Xie and Prof. Nicholas Lutsko at Scripps, Prof. Yongyun Hu at Peking University, and Prof. Eli Tziperman at Harvard. They, along with many supportive colleagues, taught me valuable knowledge and skills and helped me discover the joy of scientific research.
